FILING COVERAGE

COMPLIANCE IN CONTEXT

Important filing rules stay visible.

The product guides the workflow, while the filer remains responsible for choosing the correct forms, providing accurate information, meeting deadlines, and authorizing submission.

Electronic filing threshold

Federal rules generally require electronic filing when a filer submits 10 or more aggregated information returns, unless a waiver or exemption applies.

Read the IRS guidance

Correct federal destination

W-2 wage reports follow the Social Security Administration path. Supported 1099 information returns follow the Internal Revenue Service path.

Review SSA employer guidance

Recipient delivery and consent

Providing recipient copies is a separate obligation. Electronic delivery may require affirmative recipient consent and other notices under applicable rules.

Review IRS delivery guidance

Validation helps find issues; it does not guarantee acceptance or legal compliance.Agency rules, form instructions, deadlines, and availability can change. Review current official guidance or consult a qualified tax professional when you need advice.

SECURITY-MINDED BY DESIGN

Sensitive information deserves a focused workspace.

E-File Center keeps the filing process separate from everyday payroll activity, with account verification, role-based workspaces, review steps, and masked taxpayer information in working views.

Verified account accessAuthentication and multi-factor verification help protect access to filing workspaces.

Masked identifiersTaxpayer IDs remain obscured in filing registries and working screens.

Review gatesValidate and preview forms before moving forward with submission.

Visible status historyKeep progress and filing outcomes connected to the right record.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Clear answers before filing starts.

E-File Center is self-service software for people who are responsible for preparing and submitting year-end information returns.

Can I prepare and e-file the forms myself?

Yes. You create and manage your own filing workspace, enter or add the required business and recipient information, review the forms, authorize submission, and track agency responses. You do not have to ask the Escochecks team to perform the filing for you.

Is E-File Center part of Escochex Payroll?

E-File Center is a separate, standalone filing product. Escochex Payroll may be one source of year-end data, but no automatic Payroll connection or payroll subscription is required to use the E-File Center workflow.

Who can create an account?

Business owners and employers can file for their own organizations. Accountants and tax professionals can use a professional workspace to organize authorized client businesses and filing work.

Which forms can I work with?

E-File Center currently supports Form W-2, Form 1099-NEC, and Form 1099-MISC. Additional forms will be introduced only as they become available in the product.

Where are the forms filed?

W-2 filings follow the Social Security Administration filing path. Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC follow the Internal Revenue Service filing path. State and local submission availability varies separately.

Do I have to import records from Escochex Payroll?

No. The filer can set up the business, recipients, and supported forms directly in E-File Center. If an import or transfer option is available for a particular source workflow, the product will show it; the website does not assume a Payroll connection.

Can I preview or print a form before filing?

Yes. The product includes validation, preview, and print actions so the filer can review the form before continuing.

Can I see the status of each filing?

Yes. Filing registries and dashboard summaries keep drafts, ready-to-file records, submitted forms, and accepted filings visible.

Are state filing, recipient delivery, and corrections included?

Availability can vary by form, tax year, jurisdiction, and filing status. The filing workspace shows supported actions before submission so an unavailable option is not presented as included.
